ADEYEMI FEDERAL UNIVERSITY OF EDUCATION, ONDO CELEBRATES 60th FOUNDER’S DAY ANNIVERSARY
Adeyemi Federal University of Education (AFUED) Ondo is 60 years old this week.
The University Management had enjoined all staff, students and members of the University community to join in the following activities lined up to mark the week-long celebration from Monday 20th to Sunday, 26th May, 2024.
Road Show of gratitude and celebration was performed yesterday by the Alumni and other members of the University community danced as the sound of drums and various musical instruments was heard from the University Main Gate to terminate at Osemawe’s Palace.
It was a great event as the Osemawe and Paramount Ruler of Ondo Kingdom, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Dr Victor Adesimbo Ademefun Kiladejo, CFR, Jilo III, came out to celebrate with the University.
Today Tuesday, 21st May, 2024, there will be commissioning of some newly constructed Buildings within the University and naming of some University roads by 11.00am.

In a Memo signed by the Acting University Registrar Mrs O.O. Fakorede, it stated that there will be University Anniversary Lecture to be delivered by Prof. Tunde Babawale which is scheduled for the Anniversary Day, Wednesday, 22nd May, 2024.
On Friday 24th May 2024 there will Alumni University Lecture to be delivered by Dr. Chris Emeruwa, a one time Students Union President.
Also on that Friday, there will be Jumat Service at the University Mosque and Thanksgiving Service at Christ Chapel Interdenominational Church on Sunday 26th May 2024.
While the Diamond anniversary lecture to be delivered by the Ondo state Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa and other programmes would be coming up on Saturday and Sunday respectively.
“All staff are encouraged to fully participate in all the activities as 60th Anniversary will only come up once in a lifetime.” She said
