President Bola Tinubu is currently having an emergency meeting with governors of the 36 states at the presidential villa in Abuja.

The meeting, which commenced at about 11:30am, was also being attended by Vice President Kashim Shettima; and is being held at the council chambers at the State House.

Also, in attendance, is the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FTC) Nyesom Wike; and the Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun.

It was reliably gathered that President Tinubu summoned the meeting in view of the economic hardship in the country as well as the recent upsurge of insecurity in different parts of the country.
