National grid restored after strike suspension – NUEE
Electricity supply has been restored to parts of Nigeria two days after striking Nigerian workers shut down the National grid.
Emeka Ezeh, Head of Corporate Communications at Enugu Electricity Distribution Company disclosed to DAILY POST on Wednesday that the disco started receiving loads from the National grid around 6 pm on Tuesday.
When asked if the power supply had been restored to its franchise, he said: “Yes, we are restored. We started receiving loads at 18.06 hours yesterday (Tuesday)”.

The Transmission Company announced earlier the gradual restoration of power supply after organized labor on Tuesday suspended its strike action.
DAILY POST learnt that Abuja Electricity Distribution Company has restored supply to its customers in Abuja, Nasarawa, and Kogi.
Residents in Gwarimpa, Dawaki, FO1 in Kubwa, Utako confirmed to DAILY POST on Wednesday that power supply was restored Tuesday night.
“Power supply was flashed around 6 pm on Tuesday. At midnight, the power supply was restored fully”, Benjamin Okoli, a resident of Kubwa said.
The development comes after the organized labor suspend its indefinite strike on Tuesday.
On Monday, TCN said the striking workers has shut down national grid resulting in an electricity outage while the strike lasted.
